Why is my computer much slower than it used to be?

The answer is that over time, you install programs, create documents, browse the internet, send and receive emails etc. Even with the best housekeeping of your hard disk, it is impossible to keep track of which files you no longer need and these remain on your hard disk, taking up space. Security programs are installed, updated, replaced, superceded - each of which take up space and also conflict with each other trying to manage your computer security.

Most programs you install on your computer now connect to the internet to check for updates every time the computer is switched on. This slows down your computer boot-up time and can severely degrade performance.

Viruses, spyware and adware may also be installed the hard disk without your knowledge. These will adversely affect the performance of your computer by using resources such as memory or your CPU.

What can I do about it?

The simplest answer is to let us re-install Windows for you. This will restore your computer to the state it was when you first had it.

The speed will be restored and it will be a pleasure to use again.

Will I lose my personal files?

No. When we re-install Windows, the whole hard drive is backed up to ensure no personal files are lost in the process.
